Manufacturing process

PHASE 1

Ideation

Design is the first phase of the process that leads to the creation of a corset.
In this phase I use all my creativity and through several sketches I put all my ideas on paper.
I choose the style, I think about the shape I want to give it, the cuts I want to include, the fabrics I want to use and how I want to personalize it.
Personalization is a very important point in my work because it is what characterizes me and distinguishes me from others.
I choose the design, colors and materials to use, fusing paint and embroidery together to give three-dimensionality.
I therefore conclude with what will be my final sketch which represents the image of the finished garment.

PHASE 2

Design

Planning is the phase in which my ideas take shape, where greater concentration is needed to avoid making incorrect calculations and measurements. So I start to create a real project on paper for the corset, that is, my paper pattern.
Once I have completed the paper pattern, I cut the various parts of which it is composed and move on to the placement to be able to cut the fabric.
I usually make a test canvas first to check that everything goes well and that the customer likes it and is right in case it is a customized corset.

PHASE 3

Realization

The creation is the phase in which everything comes to life, I start by cutting and gluing all the pieces of fabric and lining to ensure greater rigidity and then I join them by machine or by hand if necessary. I insert regilene or iron splints and any additional reinforcements and breast support cups.
Having reached this point I paint and embroider as I had previously decided.
I then conclude with the last stitching, the insertion of the eyelets and the ribbon or zipper
